Kevin Arthur McKinstry

Kevin Arthur McKinstry was a life-long resident in Rapid City, SD. Due to a massive stroke gained his wings and went to be with the good Lord on June 22, 2022.

Kevin was born in Spearfish, SD on January 2, 1985, to Pamala and Kenneth McKinstry. He graduated from Douglas High School in 2003. On June 20, 2004, he married Crystal Diehl, his high school sweetheart and went on to work in many different industries where he met many people and built life-long friendships with his outgoing personality and infectious smile. He made an impact and lasting impression with everyone he met. 

Kevin was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, good food, and having a good time with everyone he knew. He was always up to a challenge at both work and at home. He had many different hobbies and skills that he acquired in his life which he then put to use by starting his own handyman business in 2021. 

Kevin is survived by his parents Kenneth and Pamala McKinstry; his wife Crystal McKinstry; their 3 amazing boys Kayden Arthur (18), Tristen Eugene (14), and Tayten John (12).

There will be no services held because he would tell everyone to “GROW UP” and not cry over him. So we will ask you to join us in a Celebration of his life. You will be notified with a time, date, and location as soon as possible.
