Darlene A. Jordan was born November 25th, 1954, to Herman and Altha (Mitchell) Jordan in Sturgis, SD and grew up on a ranch near Faith, SD. She attended country school and graduated from Faith High School. Growing up, Darlene loved to bake for everyone on the Ranch and was a skilled seamstress. She hand-made all her and her sister’s clothes growing up. Shortly after High School, she moved to Aberdeen and went to cosmetology school at Stuart’s Hair. Darlene then started her career at 3M in 1976 to retire from there in 2016.
On April 2nd, 1980, Darlene gave birth to her son Richard ‘Ricky’ Jordan in Aberdeen. She enjoyed watching all his sporting events and was a proud Mom.
Darlene loved to spend time with her son, friends, and family. There would always be at least one of them with her going to Bingo or going to the church bizarre. She loved the Holiday’s, so she had a Christmas tree up all year round and was always listening to music or singing Christmas carols at her machine during work hours. Her hobby was crocheting and she enjoyed making blankets, towels and washcloths for friends and family.
