Reva A. Cooper

Reva passed from this life to a better place an April 11, 2022, at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon, SD.  She was 94.
Reva was the third child of four born to Ray and Anna (Tischler) Cooper.  Her siblings were Charles Cooper, Violette Spencer, and Ruth Samuelson, all deceased.  Reva never married.  She stayed on her parent’s ranch and later in life moved to Spearfish for some years and then moved back into Faith.  Her next move was the nursing home.
Everybody liked Reva, all agreeing how kind she was.  She was a simple no frills person.  She loved being around little kids wherever she was.  She also loved cats, dogs, and horses.  She probably didn’t love the cows but liked them and took good care of them. She had the fattest cows, really poured the feed to them.  Reva fished a lot with her lady friends.
Immediate family that survives her are her niece, Connie (Ray) Rieker, rural Faith; niece, Carroll Texley, Lemmon; great niece, Jaclyn (Lonnie) Heier, Pierre; great nephews, Trent Texley, Morristown, and Eric (Jill) Martens, Elko New Market, MN; special cousins, Arlene Martin, Dupree, and Dianne Humble, Faith.
Reva was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Anna Cooper; siblings, Charles Cooper, Violette Spencer, and Ruth Samuelson; and nephew in law, Ed Texley.
Her remaining family and friends remember her fondly and will miss her and think of her often.
Graveside services will be held at 1:oo pm, Friday, April 22, 2022, at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.
Friends and family may sign her online guestbook and leave written condolences for the family at blackhillsfuneral home.com.
