Anna R. Brown
In the early afternoon hours of February 5, 2022, Anna Rose Brown, 78, of Elko, NV, lost her brief battle with COVID-19 at Northern Nevada Regional Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Anna, better known as Ann, was born in Wall, South Dakota, to Oscar and Margaret Eisenbraun on December 30, 1943. Ann was the middle of triplet girls, Alice and Alma. Along with older sister Lorraine and younger brother Fred, the triplets traveled throughout their hometown area playing in a family band. Ann received her elementary education in a one-room schoolhouse a mile from the family farm and attended Wall High School while working at the world-famous Wall Drug Store. Ann met the love of her life, Donald Brown while attending Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish, SD. They were married in May 1966 and honeymooned by driving to Elko, NV, for Don's first teaching position at Elko High School. Ann dedicated the following years to raising their two children, Jayme and Jayson. For many years she was active in the church choir and always enjoyed being a member of her church, St. Mark Lutheran Church in Elko. Ann worked for 23 years at Taco Time in various roles, her favorite was delivery the food to the tables so she could talk to everyone as she delivered their food. Ann was well known as an avid and highly competitive card player. She regularly hosted bridge, spades, and washerboard tournaments at her house. While in company with Ann, it would be easy to laugh until you cried, eat until you were stuffed, and somehow find room for a few fresh baked cookies. Her robust laughter and genuine hospitality ensured her guests felt like family. Her only request was for you to sign the guestbook and try to play whatever the game of the night was. Ann is preceded in death by her father, Oscar, and her mother, Margaret. She is survived by her husband, Don, children Jayme and Jayson (Heather), and grandchildren Maggie and Jack, her sisters Lorraine Fauske, Alice Richter, Alma (Gene) Crosbie, and brother Fred (Doris) Eisenbraun. Ann requested not to have any service or memorial. In place of flowers donations can be made to: St Mark Lutheran Church Preschool 277 Willow St. Elko, NV 89801
