Diana Whirlwind Horse
Diana Lynn Whirlwind Horse was born on September 16, 1962 in Kadoka, SD to Elijah Whirl- wind Horse and Mae (Brafford) Whirlwind Horse. God took Diana by the hand on October 14, 2021 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Diana attended Crazy Horse School from Kindergarten to graduating High School in 1980. She then attended National Col- lege in Rapid City, SD where she studied Business for a year. She went home to help and fell in love with ranching and life in the country. She enjoyed spending time with family, baking, work- ing cattle, daily ranch tasks, and riding the four-wheeler for work or to take in the scenery of the place. She also enjoyed watching hockey and sewing. She was a Badlands girl and could spend hours appreciating its beauty.
Grateful for having shared her life are her mom, Mae Whirlwind Horse; siblings, Judy, Carmen (Sam), Jonnie (Monica), Lisa (Allen), Mia, Lia, and Merti Whirlwind Horse; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchil- dren.
Diana was preceded in death by her dad, Elijah Whirlwind Horse; siblings, Sally, Kevin, and Wilma Whirlwind Horse; grand- parents, Link & Fussy Brafford, Louis & Sadie Whirlwind Horse; nephews, Alan, Robert, and Clay; and numerous aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Diana requests donations to charities. One of Diana’s fa- vorites was St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Pallbearer will be Lincoln Whirlwind Horse.
Rosary Service: 6:00 PM, Fri- day, October 22, 2021 at the Inte- rior Community Hall in Interior, SD.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Interior Community Hall in Inte- rior, SD.
